I saw this advertised as an upcoming film on Amazon. I'm approaching 40 and a single mom and so this really gave me something to connect with from the start. I didn't even know it was from a book, so I went into this with fresh eyes. I thought the movie pace was good in the beginning, but feel it fell of with them having a "regular" relationship at the end because everything happened really fast and I feel the characters weren't given enough space to explore this changing landscape. Having just 15 more minutes to explore this would have been great. I loved the ending though, to me it was perfect and it leaves things open and to the imagination of the viewer.
The chemistry between the leads was truly amazing and they really connected well. I would have liked to see Nicholas interacting more with the daughter because with single moms the kids are part of the package deal. Again, this is where things could have been explored more with the characters, especially with how close the mother and daughter are.
