Nothing is this movie is explained as to why anything really happens. This is a great story that keeps the viewer questioning what is happening, which is exactly the problem. Nothing is this movie is explained to the viewer that gives us knowledge to know why things are happening. The reason the children in this movie go nuts is not explained to the viewer, the flower seems to be related somehow but is not explained, and whatever happens at the end seems irrelevant. Whatever happened to Thomas was also not shown in the movie.
