The guy clearly has a sex addiction. The show’s focus was misdirected. The show is so focused on his wife’s emotional response that it fails to address any real issues. Yes, she was a victim but it didn’t need 3 episodes to drag it out. Any serious addiction drives a person to do terrible things in order to feed their addiction - lying is only the start. It was somewhat bizarre that they mentioned his so called ‘depravity’ of wanting to be spanked etc. It was basically very mild kink. And the woman he messaged/communicated with about his desires were enthusiastic adults. Whether or not someone spanked him is irrelevant. Seriously, who cares? In my opinion his crime of seducing his student was the only serious matter. It is unforgivable and warranted incarceration. Thankfully he plead guilty. I’m glad he was caught and his victims have support and are able to find pathways to healing. The guy on the other hand, isn’t receiving any treatment. The whole story is sad but doesn’t warrant a three part documentary. It could have all been said in an hour. Don’t bother watching it. There’s nothing new or interesting about it nor is there anything helpful or insightful. TLDR: guy obsessively cheats, lies and is a terrible person.
