It kept me interested even though some of the story pieces and scenery were confronting. Shows how determination to succeed in life despite the odds and the barriers can be overcome - even if that means doing whatever it takes ....

I love this movie - watched it for a third time and still love it. Admit to being a Bruce Springsteen tragic.. but this puts a new dimension to the lyrics of his many great songs. Also sheds light on some of the social issues of 80’s working class lives in England. Balance of poignant and happy … Love it ..
