I have an earlier version of this book. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to learn and/or improve their playing. The written tone”, the clarity, (and additional explanation), is well-written. Some of the lessons are timeless. I’ve been playing bass,( self-taught), for many years. I still occasionally play the bass etude Actually, I lulling that book ( and its accompanying CD for my edition), and get back to studying. All this to say, get the book. This is one that won’t sit in the bookcase for long.
