At what point can we call the multi verse card played? It was interesting enough for a movie or two, but please give it a break already! The multi verse theme is built on the idea there might be an infinate number of universes. If we accept that, there surely must be multiple copies of each of us out there somewhere. Have these writers never wondered why the police fingerprint people? It's because nature only makes originals! Ever hear of snowflakes!?!
A good science fiction movie will package a limited amount of nonsense with a great story. Like a guy that has super powers because he's from another planet. His existance is abnormal, but everything else must seem normal. How will he react to ordinary people, and how will they react to him? Or maybe a rocket takes a very normal guy, to a planet where he encounters alien lifeforms.
For these characters, I was willing to accept the story of people who could dramatically change their size and strength, but unfortunately this movie never provides anything that is remotely relatable. The characters aren't believable. For the setting, imagine if a tailor made you something to wear, but could only use cloth from the couch your grandparents had in the 70s. The jokes are just stupid, and they never offered any insight into why this specific, multi verse villan was bad. It was just a pointless movie, with no recognizable plot, and I suspect watching it made me dumber.
