Soniah Kamal does a fine job of reimagining Austen's Pride and Prejudice in the context of a family in Pakistan. The writing is light and sparkly and manages to capture an underlying sense of fun.
Soniah manages to offer a read between the lines critique on Pakistani society and it's preoccupation with the status of women and their marriageability.
A well-written fun read I would recommend regardless of whether you are an Austen lover or not. Btw, for audiobook listeners, Soniah narrates the book herself and does a great job of it too.
