The misogyny that was presented towards BTS's fandom was unacceptable. BTS is already not taken seriously because of their race and their stereotypically, "15 year old girl" fandom (Corden). BTS had spoken at the U.N. three times, performed, formed relationships with several world leaders and South Korea's president and first lady, are presidential envoys of their country, use their fame for good use to make a change in people–referencing to the Love Yourself albums–and donates so much of their money to charity, and helps the planet environmentally and socially. How is this, BTS performing at the U.N., "unusual?" When Shakira and other artists performed, it was not unusual? The main drive behind stereotypical ideas about BTS and their fandom is racism and misogyny, and James following these steretypes and spreading them as what locals call a "joke," creates disappointment among the underpriviledged and the fandom. Racism and gender inequaloty are not jokes. Stereotyping isn't a joke. It's hurtful to see the one person that treated global superstars how they were supposed to be treated turn back on them and succumb to the endless stereotypes being spread about them. Stereotyping is bad until it comes to POC, right? Then it's okay. POC always have to work 150% harder to get what they rightfully deserve, and people like Corden and bts antis are the main reason behind this. Don't call ARMY dramatic over this. It's simply discrimination.
