Just like another reader said I thought I was reading the author’s introduction when it was the actual story I suspected Dan Larkin as the killer of his wife just like Jeff n Miranda n Aunt Kate but there was no evidence or trace of her body except he clean the car n the house Dan didn’t waste anytime getting a girlfriend n try to end the case of his wife disappearance so the family could get on with their lives very good read especially after 18 yrs u thought all was finished when Dan developed Alzheimer’s but then came the surprise ending
