Great movie about how a rough child hood can mold what an adult turns out like. Kevin Costner gives a riveting performance as a career criminal on the run from the Texas Ranger Clint Eastwood who also directed the film. Costner in the movie is both likeable and menacing. This is a Costner performance you don't see in most of his movies. Maybe his greatest performance.
