Predatory micro transactions aside this game is not worth the $70 price tag.
Lack of fast travel can be annoying. there are oxcarts and ferrystones however carts only go to certain towns and stones only take you to wayshrines and good luck finding one's you can place anywhere.
Quests are an absolute mess and will fail for the dumbest reasons.
You'll be punishes for exploring a world they purposely didn't add fast travel in so you be forced to explore the world. See above.
The enemy types are lacking. Remember DD1 and how you'd see nothing but goblins, wolves, and harpies? Well I hope you missed them because for 90% of the game that's all you'll encounter.
The NPC's are by far the most insufferable part of this game. You will be constantly thrown into random quests and unfortunately half are timed so drop what you were doing and go do this new quest!
The lack of save files are an outdated system that takes the fun out. The only "hard save" option is to rest at an inn often, go into the main menu and load in from Inn save. Auto save has a mind of its own and will work against you.
If you've just learned you have failed more than 10 quests and have decided to just start over you will have to go into your systems save files and delete it. There is no option for starting a new game.
I saw someone say this game would've been amazing in 2012 and thats the best way to put it.
