I will be honest with you I have never seen the movie or the book but I do know this, Heaven is for real promotes the universalism heresy which is the belief that everyone goes to heaven. This movie doesn’t have the gospel in it and what makes me angry is that Colton Burpo makes the claim that he went to heaven but he doesn’t even bother to tell anyone how to get there. This movie also adds to scripture which is a direct violation of the word of God. Deuteronomy 4:2 New International Version 2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you. Colton Burpo is lying about his experience in heaven. He never went there. One day he will have to stand before God and give an accurate account to him. Hebrews 9:27 New International Version 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, Romans 14:12 English Standard Version 12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Can’t believe how many people actually believe that this kid Colton went to heaven

I never in my life have read this book but I am giving it a one star for a reason and it’s because truthfully “ your best life now “ is man centred not Gospel centred. This book elevates man to a higher level than God. Quite honestly I don’t like how you Joel elevate man not God. God is the one who deserves our praise and worship. By you selling this book you are not pointing to God and I find that absolutely disgraceful. You are no pastor, in fact Joel you are a false teacher who is manipulating crowds of people, keeping people in their sin and leading astray with man centred nonsense, the law of attraction, the prosperity gospel, and not teaching your audience on sin, repentance and salvation. Joel, I do not hate you, but I hate what you are doing with a passion. Truthfully Joel you need to repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in the real risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because he died for you so that you can have eternal life and salvation. I want you to be in heaven Mr Osteen. If you do, genuinely repent, the fruit of the repentance is you would shut down shut down Lakewood Church because you are not qualified to be a pastor.
