as someone who played left 4 dead 2 last on Xbox 360 in 2015, I'm still able to remember their jingles of every special zombie from that game
but this game doesn't have that, it also doesn't/ does have...
1.Multiplayer Versus Mode that doesn't happen in the Campaign Levels
2. a terrible "trauma" mechanic that works similar to Rad points from the Fallout franchise that you can't heal back unless you have a specific character on your team
3. using the perk deck system from Payday in something trying to continue the legacy of Left 4 Dead defeats the whole point of the game being easy to get into
4. poorly written characters that not only are more dressed for some country kid's birthday party than zombie slaying which is bad art direction
5. specific characters having specific abilities also defeating the point of Left 4 Dead's simple gameplay design
6. maps not designed for how the enemies behave and nothing is even destructible like almost every prop in Left 4 Dead
7. there is no dramatic animations or gory details at all, you just shoot them and they fall to the floor ragdolled which they didn't even get that right since the ragdoll physics in Left 4 Dead had bodies float in water
8. no noticeable warning signs of special enemy types approaching leaving the player to be completely unaware of their surroundings
9. the loot rarity system from the Borderlands franchise and weapon attachments system from Call of Duty which both ruin the simplicity that they advertised by saying this was a spiritual continuation of Left 4 Dead but also adds things to concentrate on other than what your supposed to which is your teammates ands enemies
hell this studio only had 5 people involved in the original Left 4 Dead with everyone else being from Valve including the famous Dario Casali (map designer for The Plutonia Experiment and Half Life)
Turtle Rock didn't make Left 4 Dead what it is today in any way, valve changed everything to what it is except the gameplay concept and even after Turtle Rock was dropped out of Valve thier Founder left because he didn't like the feeling of being in charge, and we all see why
