I had the original book and still bake the German Pound Cake. I found Irma Starkloff in my fathers papers for our Genealogy. I decided to try and find Mr.Ethan Becker because the genealogy was sent to us by the now
deceased Richard C Vonnegut and my father recieved it in 1980, I just read it.
But the Joy of Cooking has been my favorite and I have the next edition,
however i love the pound cake.
