The opening scene was great!! The attention to detail I felt like i was in the car with the family. The writing wasnt bad but cgi was not great for most of the movie. Storm??? Her accent threw me off.. I hope this wasnt meant to tie in with the x-men from the last 2 decades. Moments that were supposed to be triggering for the "heroes" were not expressed to their full capacity like in other films. You just couldn't feel the anger or hurt the confusion or sadness coming from the character ;which made it hard to connect with the film (for me). While the casting was ok and the actors are great in other films it felt like the actors were mimicking emotions instead of giving the emotion. As if the actors got the script at the last minute and were told to go be great without time to prepare. This is a 2.5/5 for me. Had they spent more time in the editing room and reshooting scenes that were supposed to be emotional until they got it right. This could of easily been a 5/5.
