This book clarified and confirmed all my suspicions about the role the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics plays in what I have instinctually believed to be a teleological Universe, marching perpetually towards greater complexity. It single-handedly unshackled my theory of everything from the prison of the “unquestionable” march towards cosmological entropy. Confirmation bias aside, i can now spend the rest of my life contemplating the implications of the very testable theories in this book. The laws of physics describe an engine for cooking up ever-more elaborate dissipative structures. The future is bright.
