I found the story interesting, but I felt the story really didn't go anywhere! Loads of unanswered questions about the children's abuse, why the mother was jailed etc. I felt like there were great chunks missing and I had to assume to fill in the bits. Unfortunately a very unfulfilled read. I feel the author tried to create a psychological thriller but ended up with just a sad story.
