Let's start with all the positives first. 1. Great picture especially for the time period, 2. The acting is decent, 3. The kills are pretty good, 4. The design of the killer it's pretty cool. Now the negatives.... 1, the movie is way too long for what it is trying to be, the pacing is bad, it takes way too long in between kills, there's way more of this awkward romance that's happening between the two main characters then there is actual horror and kills, but when the kills do happen they are pretty good, it just takes forever to get to each kill. 2. The soundtrack is terrible... It's way too country music... Way too much country music... To the point where it gets so annoying... But then the theme music that kicks in during the kill scenes is pretty good. I honestly don't know what's going on with this movie it feels like two different people made this, it's kind of all over the place, 3. Some of the characters are completely pointless.. the main male characters friend who is the pest exterminator really doesn't even need to be in the movie, and they keep trying to start up this man's relationship with him and this other woman that literally goes nowhere and has no impact the movie at all... Like I said this movie is way longer than it needs to be, they could probably cut out about 30 to 40 minutes and the movie would be just fine, 4. And then in the trailer for this film you got this weird awkward comparison where it says it's trying to be better than Friday the 13th and Halloween but it's definitely nowhere even near those films so I honestly don't even understand the point of the comparison because it's not even true. Overall this movie is pretty much all over the place and doesn't really know what it's trying to be part of it is trying to have like this weird secret storyline trying to figure out who the killer is and the other half of the film is trying to start up multiple strange relationships between the different characters??? And at the end of the day I just find myself super bored with this film probably because of the pacing is way too slow and makes it feel almost like a chore to even sit through this film, I watched this movie on prime video on my Roku TV and there was another film on there that I watched called the video dead that film is actually worse than this film, but then again I also watched the prowler which is a pretty damn good horror film, so at the end of the day this film's kind of just blah.
