Pokémon Royal

I’ve finished the game, got through everything and I can say with confidence that the gameplay was amazing. I love switching between the new weapons and the yo-yo and the hat and cane were my personal favorites, but what keeps this from being a 5- star game for me is the story and Viola’s gameplay. Going from Bayonetta and how spicy and fun it was to Viola who doesn’t get any new weapons or anything, is incredibly underwhelming and I dreaded playing her, the story could’ve been better if it was more fleshed out and didn’t feel like they were adding things just because they could. I miss the fun stories of Bayo 1 and 2 where the story was just fun and showed off the characters. Like I loved Loki and Rodin and all the characters of 2, in 3 though, there’s not a lot of lovable Enzo, fun and interesting Rodin and Luka is a whole other can of worms and not a good one and Viola could easily be written to be more interesting even be written entirely different without having her connected to the “twist”. I loved Bayo 3 but the story wasn’t a five star story
