The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Outstanding game! I put in over 1,000 hours. Got everything but all the koroks. BOTW is the better game though. TOTK is just the leftover material thrown together to make a new game. What’s better in TOTK? 1.) Caves! Finding hidden caves and then even finding a hidden hole inside the cave that crawls to an adorned treasure shrine with clothes, the best! Seeing the word “Discovery!” when you enter a new cave, love it! 2.) Gleeocks 3.) Monster hunting is all around better in TOTK because of weapon fusing. Finding a tougher monster and getting his horn to fuse to a weapon and come up with something super high in number was some of the most fun in the game 4.) Not to say I like it better than in the castle in BOTW because that was dope in its own right too; but finding Ganon deep in the depths was very cool. The ominous music which starts low and gets louder as you approach his lair was excellent. 5.) ascend was a great feature What’s better in BOTW? 1.) Divine Beasts better than Temples 2.) Shrines way better 3.) Overall story better and much tighter, neater 4.) The Guardians are superior to any bad guy in TOTK. 5.) the DLC in BOTW was very rewarding 6.) the game was all around more basic and down to earth than TOTK, in a good way. Sometimes more is less and less is more. Money well spent

Echoes of Boredom -No weapon of offense was annoying. Relying on clones to do your fighting for you while you run and hide, not fun. -Box building to get places was even more annoying. Why? -Way too scripted, too much narrative. Way too guided. Gives the sense of freedom/openness, but you’re pretty much just following a dialogue. Much more like an RPG. -The final boss fight was epic. -Some of the later dungeons took some serious creativity to solve. -very short game for $60. I checked and it took 60 hours for me to beat. That’s a dollar per hour of gameplay. TOTK was $70 and I got 1,000 hours out of it. That’s $.07 per hour. For the price it comes up way short even if the negative things said above weren’t true and it were a good game
