This is about a woman, Sepideh, sacrificing all honesty and selfishly using people close to her in an attempt to play the role of saviour to a new friend, Eli--a woman who wants to escape a relationship with a man. The good intentions that motivate Sepideh's manipulations bring her and everyone around her--especially the new friend--to a hell on earth.

Warning: see the movie at least twice. See it alone, so you can avoid putting on a show with your reactions. If you want to see humanity laid bare, this is it. The most monstrous of us, and their merciless utilization of the innocent, and those of us who are the tools of monsters--all depicted in this story.

Simple decent action flick with some very nice fx. Truly excellent ending with a delightfully dark twist. I wished for more chemistry between the hero and his wife.

Unrelentingly dark and depressing, the only light in the story--a heroic cell of resistance fighters--is quickly extinguished, leaving us in an orwellian gloom with no real hope of a way out. Maps like a glove onto our present society living on fiat currency at the whim of some shadow government.
