They work too hard trying to be funny not so funny and mimic the Boston accent. It sounds ridiculous and is more like a New York accent. It would work so much better if they hired actors from the Boston area and would be more believable!

Honestly, the writing is so so and I feel like if they are going to get some actors that are not really from the Boston area they may want to practice pronunciations and the Boston accent. They miss pronounce most of the towns so maybe educate themselves on the area. They say, ant instead of aunt … it’s just not really believable at all that they’re supposed to be from Malden which is a few miles north of Boston. The woman that plays the hairdresser is actually from Cape Cod and her accent sounds like she’s trying too hard….just sounds ridiculous.
