A very accurate description of what it’s like to experience Bipolar Type 2 mania/depression. The writers sensitivity, empathy, and personal pain are all vividly alive in her writing. Those who have been down this road will discover a caring fellow traveler. Those who know little of this serious mental illness have, in this book, an excellent resource. It is resource as memoir, as diary, and therefore emphasizes the subjective over the objective, ie, it’s not a textbook. It is a fascinating, as well as harrowing, journey into and out of the Darkness.
