Reading this book had been very stressful. The story itself is scary and I can in no way imagine a childhood or an adulthood with such a family whose believes are so extremist and dangerous and abusing. Throughout every single page of this book I kept inwardly shouting why can't she just abandon such toxic family when she had her chance and why can't she just forget about them and move on. But then it may not be emotionally that easy for her. But still every single line of this book made my blood boil. Her story made me think of thousands of kids like her who might be living in such toxic families all over the world, here it is an extremist mormonic belief.... In some other cases it would be some other religious or even other personal Morales and ideals... It's scary to think of. The book was very beautifully written. That's why reading it makes the readers feel the stress and horrors through the lines.
