The black community is not a monolith. There are a myriad of black experiences. To think that we all experience just one is a different strand of racism.
I LOVED the first three installments. Warm and welcoming and expertly produced. I understand Meghan. I was in my twenties when I realized that folks still curtsied for the Queen. I really hadn't been interested in the royals until Diana, then again in her divorce and death, and then with Megan. The royals weren't relevant for me in my lifetime except during these times. Now in my 50s, I'm interested again because it seems that this royal institution is going to let this wonderful opportunity to connect with the rest of the world slip right through its fingers. It's like watching a slow death.
The Netflix series is WONDERFUL.
