No, just no. This movie is not the one. I love ladybug the series and I was prepared for differences but I will not be watching again and it took me 4 sittings to get through it just once. The animation is good and interesting and that's where my compliments stop. The voice change between marinette singing and talking was too much to bare. The characterisation was so poor for every character, I appreciate in a movie you have less time to get to know characters than a series but it felt like you had to "know" the characters already but also accept their changes. The storyline was rushed and so cringy and somehow had too many intricacies with no subtly. Like I feel like it would be difficult for a child to understand but lacked any real complexity for other audiences. I genuinely cannot understand the purpose of this movie within the ladybug universe, and as a stand-alone movie, it's boring, cringy, and has little to no redeeming features.
