I haven't even finished this book, only about 50 pages in, but I doubt I will be finishing it anytime soon. I'm struggling to understand why it is so highly rated when the characters are such stereotypes. Poppy, the girl, is not like the other girls and so perfectly special. She seems constantly traumatised and is incessantly annoying and overdependant on Rune. Rune, the guy, is extremely sought-after and a 'Viking' due to his Norwegian descent. Honestly, in my opinion, it's a Wattpad-level book. Poppy is obsessed with Rune's usage of Norwegian whenever he calls her 'poppymin', their love doesn't seem real, there are so many incessant plotholes where nothing seems realistic. I haven't finished it yet though, so hopefully Poppy's death will be slightly more interesting.
