One of the first films by Cecil B. DeMille. This anti-Mormon film was an embarrassment to DeMille who later in his life became great friends with David O. McKay, then president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). The film is comical to "Mormons", but could cause non-Mormons to think that Mormons were Klan members due to the costuming of the characters.
