They got rich and became the most powerful companies in the world by stealing and selling our data, subverting the rule of democratic law for two decades. The criminally insane surveillance capitalists, Google, Apple, Facebook and others have betrayed the American people. Anyone in the world may now have details about our entire lives. The damages are insane. We no longer trust them. Democracy and Regulation is the only solution and it's what they fear more than anything.
