It could be that I'm from here, but it feels like the word Portland is used far too often in the show. I feel beaten over the head by it. Also, no one here refers to Washington (our neighbor to the North) as "Washington state". I realize that they put that in so as not to confuse the East coast viewers, but it's just one of many things they do to dumb it down, and it just feels icky.
