I was shocked while reading this book with my class. In the last chapter there’s a possessed doll with a bloody knife that tries to attack the kid. I should’ve stopped reading after A Very Sad Story, where everyone she loves dies (it was a vividly written daydream at the end). I do NOT recommend this book. It is well-written, but why is the author bent on exposing little kids to death and violence?
