It is definitely a good movie with a message to the society. However, I come from south and never saw any such discrimination around, tbh SC/ST and other so called lower castes are the ones who get leverage with merit system. General merit is the hardest group to find college seats/Govt. Jobs/promotions and so on. When they portray such social issues its important to be more specific about the geography as we are so diverse and may not have the same issue as North/West/East India. In the movie you do hear the place names however the review says "Socio-Political situation In India". It's vital to create right impression of our society as this can be seen very differently outside.
