I thought this book was pretty good. I watched the show first which might influence my decision of if I like the book or show more, but I think I did like the show more. I find the show went in more detail for the side characters but the book only really puts detail into Dexter, which I get because the book is about him but I feel like I would’ve like it a bit more if they did add more detail on the other characters. The book also ends very differently from the show, which I don’t mind. I do like that the book really talked a lot about what Dexter is thinking and I also really like how the author made the Tamiami slasher (the ice truck killer from the show). Overall I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes thriller/mystery and anyone who has seen the show. If you like this type of stuff, you’ll like the book.
