Excellent show.. Everything from the cast to storylines and music. For a town with so many problems, I find myself wishing I lived in a small town like Sparta, MS. The characters give the feeling that you could talk to them about almost anything. One of my favorite episodes is the one in which guest actor Ted Lange (of Love Boat game) had six wives. It so comical but also dramatic. By the way, it's Mr Tibbs, not Tipps as one reviewer implied. I still watch the the reruns to this day.

Although sometimes hard to understand the accents, I love the storylines and the theme music. The present cast is pretty good but I like the original cast better. Also like the fact the show is aired without commercial interruptions. Good tv compared to the garbage that is being aired nowadays.
