I'm sorry but why? I mean they changed A LOT, the new storyline was mid, the acting was mid (especially from the guy who played Ravi, he and Pip had zero chemistry) I feel like it's not even the same story, I mean they removed/changed characters that were extremely vital to the storyline. They barely explained anything so if you haven't read the book (And even if you have read it) it gets very confusing.
I would not recommend to people who want a well made adaptation of the book, but it could (maybe) be entertaining to people who never read it.
WARNING SPOILERS!!!!!
Pip was also just really annoying, rude, and pretty much not a good girl at all, making the title a bit unnecessary. The only characters that stayed true were Pip's mother, Elliot Ward and Cara. Everyone else was either completely rewritten or removed from the show.
Honestly, reading the book I felt like I was solving the crime along with Pip, but watching this show was just watching an annoying, nosy girl jump to conclusions all the time (and she just so happens to be right all the time). Also changing Nat Da Silva from Andie's enemy to her best friend was unnecessary and confusing. While I admit that adapting a book into a movie/show is difficult and sometimes changes must be made, this show did a lousy job at portraying the characters and just having a cohesive plot. I don't mind changing details from a book but this was way too much and the show itself (without being an adaptation) was honestly just mediocre.
