I really liked Venom. The opening act takes too long to get going, but once it finally does it’s a lot of fun! The dynamic between Eddie and Venom is hilarious, and Venom himself shows off some crazy cool powers; and I’m happy to say that they actually represented the character of Venom correctly! He plays the “Antihero” role a lot more than the traditional “Villain” role. The story is a bit dumb, but it’s a comic book movie about alien goop that lives in a guy’s body; you should know what you’re going in to. The critic reviews are way too hard on this movie, I’d recommend it if you’re a fan of the character or of Marvel in general. Overall I’d rate it about 7/10.
