Pastor Jared has done an excellent job of showing us how to study God's Word thru the lens of Holy Spirit! I believe this is a key component missing from so many Christian walks today. I am so encouraged to see what more Holy Spirit unpacks for me thru the use of this journal!!! I was hesitant to get started, because I felt strongly that I should use it for my Old Testament studies. I was recently ordained but have always found the Old Testament a bit more challenging for me personally. I was only hesitant, because I wasn't sure I would be able to see or experience Holy Spirit in those historical books the way the journal prompts us to. As I write this review, I know it seems silly to think I would struggle to find Holy Spirit in those historical books. Afterall, God (since the beginning) has been all three persons. I think as Christians we tend to compartmentalize God the Father as Old Testament, God the Son (Jesus) in the Gospels, and God the Holy Spirit post resurrection. This journal has helped me make sense of what was a struggle before! It has also helped me draw closer to God's Word & look for what He is speaking to me & how He is EMPOWERING my life for others & for His glory!
