I just finished reading Mooney’s 2010 memoir “Black is the New White”, an unflinchingly honest reflection on his life and career as a writer, performer, activist and balls-out comedian. His perspective into what it was like to be a black entertainer in the Hollywood of the ‘60s and ‘70s was powerful and authentic. AND? Holy shit it was BRILLIANTLY funny. If any of you fools still know how to read, put your I-dick down and pick up a copy of this brilliant memoir. ❤️📖📞🙄

This is an absolutely brilliant parody of American film culture, written by Richard Ayoade but narrated by the iconically weird actor, director, and playwright Jon Korkes. Korkes narrates the fictional movie making veteran Gordy LaSure. Ayoade's written characterization of a deplorable, misogynistic Hollywood creep is hilariously voiced by Korkes, and I listen to this audiobook over and over again, bursting out in laughter every time
