I chose this movie to watch with my family on Easter and I am disappointed I should have chose a different one. I could barely hear the actor speak he was constantly whispering and speaking fast instead of clear. Very slow paced movie and they didn’t include a lot of action. This movie was only 1 hour and a half but it felt like 3 hours. I should never feel that way when i’m watching a movie about the resurrection, but they focused so hard on the whole thing being from a roman’s perspective that you miss a lot of major events that could’ve been included to help the viewer understand the timeline. I’m pretty sure the roman character was completely fictional as well and because of that there was a lot more potential to include so much. I appreciate that the movie was aimed to be very realistic but because I couldn’t even understand the actor’s talking, because of the mumbling fast speaking and whispering. I tell you, my dad had to turn the volume all the way up when the movie played, and then when an AD came on the AD was BLASTING loud lol. so it wasn’t just me that couldn’t hear the conversations in scenes that would’ve been really interesting. So overall, this movie had so much potential, but failed to capture it :( Would have been more enjoyable watching alone on a laptop with subtitles on.
