I wanted to like this show so much but something is missing or disjointed and I am not sure what it is. I find it weird and awkward the romance between Staten and Quinn, especially since he was married to her best friend and slept with his late wife’s, brother’s ex-wife. The whole swapping partners thing with Davis and Paula I thought was weird. Their fights just seems like it goes from perfectly fine to breaking up over nothing, I am not sure but it is not as warm and exciting as I had hoped it would be. I wanted another Sweet Magnolia but it missed the mark.

I love this show so much. I actually rewatched the entire thing and might rewatch it again and I NEVER do that. Both times this show left me wanting more, it is just that good. Definitely worth the emotional turmoil you will go through while watching 😂

I will be honest, I love John Mulaney’s comedy but I felt like this was disappointing. He dragged out jokes about his intervention and rehab but barely talked about his divorce, Malcolm or Olivia. He kind of skipped over that whole part of his life and just talked about the drug part and I wish he would have talked about all of it instead of just focusing on the one part. I would have rather him talked about his transition into fatherhood from coming out of rehab and things like that instead of stretching the same joke too far to where it is no longer funny :/

One of the best shows on Netflix and I am so glad they brought it back.
