Taylor Sheridan's 156th show. A troubled young woman gets tired of living with Juggalos and being exploited for minium wage so she becomes the best Marine in the world. Zoe Saldana recruits her, on behalf of the CIA, to make friends with an extremely hot, rich girl in order to assassinate her dad who's supposed to be some sort of super terrorist financier. This isn't time consuming enough, however, so she spends some of her down time engaging in shady activities with a bunch of fat guys who are also a CIA wet work team. This is... exactly the sort of thing we've come to expect from Taylor Sheridan, who incidentally shoehorns himself into season two. Moral ambiguity but at the end of the day, being badass is the loftiest height to which we should aspire. Sidenotes: There's drama involving Zoe Saldana's husband and woke daughter but it's barely worth mentioning. Three stars for the show's steadfast commitment to showing off the female character's bare buttcheeks as often as possible.

I'm sure this will get panned as woke by the usual suspects but it's insanely entertaining and violent, reminds me of Gangs of London. Indonesia knows how to do action.

Good, effective little movie with great practical effects, almost no dialogue and Samara Weaving looking frantic for an hour and a half. Watching her and her giant eyeballs going ballistic on a bunch of zealots at the end is well worth it. In a universe of avoidable horror movies, this one is worth checking out.

Good movie, good soundtrack, good CGI, there's an alien.

Great B movie with excellent practical gore and creature effects.

It's great if you like action movies. Combine what made the original and its sequel so much fun and add radical advancements in CGI. For everyone saying they shoehorn woke subtext into the plot, nonsense. It's a straightforward, satisfying, action-adventure with a very competent lead. Watch it, it's terrific.

Vaguely woke, low-budget, schmalz for middle schoolers. The monsters look terrible and no one is inventing fire here but the mawkishness and rushed romance aren't excessive enough to make it entirely unenjoyable. Worth watching if you've exhausted your watch list but certainly not top priority. Edit: After watching further, I've whittled this two star review down to one for increasingly godawful special effects, dumb writing, mediocre-to-bad line delivery and annoying little quips.
