I've been following the progress of this production for years. You could say the overall production has been deeply troubled, at best. That said, the end product was fantastic. If you want a dark portrait of a man struggling with his many demons, mistakes & taboos, this movie isn't for you. Go watch one of the many excellent documentaries out there instead. An interview with Brian May & Roger Taylor from several years ago really says all that needs to be said. They wanted the movie to be a joyful celebration of Freddie's life. At that, this movie succeeded, fully.
