I was given the first book in The Protectors of Boone County, Texas series, Resolute Justice, as a gift and fell in love with the Reed family. I enjoyed Cassie’s story (1st book) because I love kick ass heroines. Super-duper loved Noah’s story (2nd book), because, well, he’s my kind of hero. Could Leslie Marshman top that, I wondered. And then I read Adam’s story – Resolute Investigation. Reserved but no pushover, Adam Reed is the strong silent type, but when pushed . . .? Well, let me put it this way: you don’t mess with the Reeds. So, when the gal Adam has crushed on since high school finds herself in trouble, Adam steps in, despite knowing he is laying his heart – and his life – on the line.
