It's a real masterclass for what it is, an homage to classic chase films with a dark twist. QT is the best "modern" director and screenwriter. It's truly amazing how he ties his movies together. My favorites are Kubrick, Scorsese, Coppola, Lynch, Scott and Carpenter as a reference. Oh...and horror/suspense would be Dario Argento. I guess Stone, Spielberg, Lucas, Jackson and Hitchcock could be on the top 20. Maybe even Cameron...maybe...but getting back to this film. It's action packed and dark. It really takes you on a journey, on your seats edge. Love it and QT is a legend with the limited amount of films he has been involved.
