Let me start by saying im black, before aomeone call me "names" for what im about to write. If i wanted to get a political message i would just watch the news. One of the reasons i watch movies is because its an escape from reality. The director made so many mistakes i just couldn't handle it, its easier for us who you can see the "hands pulling the strings." 1. Plot holes 2. Candymans powers being racially selective. 3. Director copied(not inspired) from other directors. Writing, camera angles, shots... Its an insult for us who have seen Stanley Kubricks work, from Alfred Hitchcock to James Wan; everything was there. Such a disapointment.
