They always keep true to the plot line for over two decades and still manage to add characters to the story. Dream may seem simplistic at first but as time has gone on; The franchise continues to deliver gore, humor, good actors/resses. The kills are clever and it keeps one guessing who the slasher that takes on the Ghostface. It is not just about mindless killing but twisted plots that are later revealed.
