it was nice to watch i guess, funny and classic, but i feel like none of it really made sense? (SPOILERS) when poppy was first introduced they made her seem really intimidating and menacing but she just ended up wanting to work with gru to steal a raccoon from his old school? and then when they move back to their old house she's just completely forgotten?
also, in the end gru visits the maxime (the main antagonist) who I assumed he was going to despise since he took his baby actually ended up having a singing battle? this movie wasn't anywhere near as exciting as the previous despicable me movies. along with that, I feel like alot of the scenes are just randomly thrown in, for example Agnes and Ediths' karate class were shown once and then never mentioned again, which makes the scene unnecessary.
along with that, when lucy is at the salon she burns the ladies hair and she eventually is brought up again when she is shopping, I assumed she would work alongside maxime to get back at lucy and gru but she's not mentioned again. gru is also alot less intimidating in this movie, and he seems to be afraid of things easily including poppy who he didnt necessarily HAVE to help, since he was much more powerful than her.
addionally, when margo complains about her school i expected there to be scenes that showed us the inside of her school and things that were happening that made her feel miserable about it, instead the only thing that gives us an idea of what happened is margo saying something about kids putting a glitter bomb in her locker and that's it. later in the movie, poppy asks margo if they want to hang out, which then I expected to see a scene of them bonding together and forming a friendship but nothing of the sort happened.
the 'mega minions' were unnecessary and just added into the movie for the sake of it. this movie could have been alot better.
