Held my breath throughout. The way it’s written is like seeing a moving picture set to the soundtrack of the beat of a heart and brain. How the author connects and moves the stories of the main characters (Nya and Salva) is parallel and intersecting. Think Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and what happens when they are not met. Hopeless, hopeful. Despair. Joy. Darkness. Light. Cannot have one without the other. Thank you for this epic true life journey. think: The Alchemist but real life.
