Loved the music, the costumes, the actors, all were great. But it was more of a "what if things were like this" movie than anything else. Sometimes I just want to be entertained, not have the ills and unfairness of the world shoved in my face yet again (and again, and again). I wasn't aware that Rock Hudson was such a mentally challenged individual either, but he definitely came off that way. Overall, it was OK, but predictable. If a show doesn't highlight race issues or bigotry toward women and gays in some fashion, it just ain't worth watching for a lot of folks.
