Quite honestly, I think it is one of the best films I have ever seen. As a 67 year old, I remember the later days in this film - early sixties onwards.
It is a very powerful evocation, of these now far off days, so many details of which I can remember. It is called from Scotland With Love, but I think it is rather a love poem to Scotland, My country that I deeply love. This is a Scotland, that as the years go past, will gradually slip from living memory and it is wonderful that they joy, sorrow and just life of it all are here. Kenny Anderson's music is a perfect accompaniment - genius!
